Summer has come to an end and the weather is looking bleak but that doesn’t mean that the summer vibes shouldn’t keep on! Today we look at a new music video from the London based UK rap group New Guardz’ who have recently released their brand new single ’30 Degrees’, from their studio album ‘TRIBE’, the song is best described as a summer tune and it would be a perfect soundtrack to bathing in the sun, whether that’s by the pool or on the beach.
The song uses a trapsoul beat produced by Session600 which introduces you to each member of New Guardz:
Here is a link to the music video:
Essex videographer Sam Charlesworth from The Camera Guys filmed and edited the music video. The Camera Guys are a Video Production Company of which creates music videos as well as corporate videography and promotional videos. The music video was filmed towards the end of July on sunny Bournemouth Beach, but you would never know! Looking at the video, it looks like it could have been filmed on the Spanish coast! The summer feeling was beautifully captured, just watching the video feels like going on a short trip!
There are a total of 7 rappers who have verses on the track, all of them have amazing parts, but a special mention should go out to Tommy Biz who is the most recent member of The New Guardz having recently joined, so far he has a total of three tracks with the crew but we expect to see many more.
Tommy is usually the camera operator and he would generally film all of the music videos for The New Guardz, however in this video he was one of the crew and so he bought in one of his videographer friends, Sam from The Camera Guys. There is a mention of “Cameraman that’s got hard rhymes” in the sound, we particularly like this section as it is a nice cameo and recognition of his backstory.
Another shout out must go to Mini-Mas!
The best moment of the music video is the verse from Mas, where his son (of whom we have nicknamed Mini-Mas) has been featured. For those who are unaware Mas (not Mini-Mas) is the person who sings on the chorus of the track with the lyrics: “this one sounds like earthy colored alcohol on ice”. Smaller than usual Mas is the moniker given to Mas’ son who joined the group on the shoot and can be seen all through the video flowing with his older folks. What a little dude. It’s really nice to think that one day he will actually want to look back on that video with his father, hopefully, he’ll even participate with some bars on a future tune. “This one sounds like Mini-Mas on mic, juice tasting with the Guardies that is energies”!
This is a group of imaginative individuals who have arranged their assets to make a summer anthem and an incredible video to complement it! The Guardz have many ventures in and new music recordings being delivered every month! Check up on them on YouTube, Spotify, iTunes or some other music streaming service.
